Ivan Ostrowicz
CEO and Co-Founder, Domoscio
Ivan is an international entrepreneur based in France with Polish and Russian roots. He graduated as an engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (Spain) and École Nationale Supérieur d’Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble (France), while also holding an MBA from Neoma BS (France/China).
His international experience includes working in information systems, organization management, training and change management. This experience was acquired in a diverse group of roles, including those at corporations (CaixaBank, SFR, Air France), public institutions (UPC, CNAMTS), and consultancy (EY).
His involvement in teaching and learning environments led him to co-found Domoscio in 2013, a start-up that combines cognitive sciences, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to drive adaptive and personalized learning. He now teaches an EdTech curriculum to Master’s students at Paris-Descartes University. He is also a frequent speaker and mentor at different Edtech events – most recently at TEDx, Frankfurt Book Fair and Seedstars.
Dr. Kenneth Koedinger
Professor of Human-Computer Interaction, Carnegie Mellon University
Kenneth R. Koedinger is a professor of human–computer interaction and psychology at Carnegie Mellon University. He is founder and current director of the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center. He is widely known for his role in the development of the Cognitive Tutor software. He is widely published in cognitive psychology, intelligent tutoring systems, and educational data mining, and his research group has repeatedly won “Best Paper” awards at scientific conferences in those areas, such as the EDM2008 Best Paper, ITS2006 Best Paper, ITS2004 Best Paper, and ITS2000 Best Paper.
Koedinger studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, working with Richard Lehrer, and obtained a doctorate in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. His doctoral advisor was John Robert Anderson. He then worked as a Research Scientist, Associate Professor, and finally full Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He has had many prestigious graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, in particular Neil Heffernan and Vincent Aleven.
Pedro Nueno
Professor and President, CEIBS
Pedro Nueno is Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship, IESE and Professor and President, CEIBS (Shanghai, Beijing). He also holds the Chengwei Ventures Chair on Entrepreneurship at CEIBS.
His areas of specialization include entrepreneurship; intrapreneurship and starting new ventures; management of technology and innovation: management of privatization and turnaround processes; industrial alliances; joint-ventures and acquisitions; industrial procurement, and supply-chain management.
He will be speaking on our ‘Digital Disruption in Business Education’ panel on the 5th December, accompanied by Nunzio Quacquarelli, CEO of QS Quacquarelli Symonds, and another speaker to be confirmed.
