The fifth edition of the Reimaginers Newsletter sees us begin our exploration of alternative university models, a topic that was examined in the form of a keynote during December’s Reimagine Education conference. We start with an interview from 42 COO Brittany Bir, who explains how her unconventional university model has necessitated an unconventional admissions practice.
In-classroom pedagogy remains a theme, too: Kat Shanahan of Filament Games provides pointers for the educator seeking to incorporate gamification into their teaching repertoire, and Robyn Shulman of EdNews Daily argues that teachers have precisely the skillset necessary for entrepreneurship.
We also invite all readers to apply for the still-ongoing Reimagine Education competition, and encourage educational experts reading our newsletter to submit their candidacy as a judge.
